Asian Turkey & Mushroom Lettuce Wraps

Give your senses a treat with these fun and festive Asian Turkey & Mushroom Lettuce Wraps!

Begin by sauteing the ground turkey and whisk up the sauce by combining the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha. Next, add in the mushrooms and garlic to sauté for a few minutes then pour over the sauce, letting the flavors combine.

While the turkey and mushrooms are cooking, put on a pot of rice. When you’re ready to eat, build your wraps with a base of rice, then the turkey and vegetables. 

Finish with cilantro, scallions and crushed peanuts for crunch and an extra depth of texture. 

These Asian lettuce wraps combine sight, taste, sound, and color, all in one bite!

You can also chop up the salad and build the meal as a bowl if finger foods aren’t your thing.

  • 12 oz ground turkey breast
  • 1 c mushrooms
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • ½ c jasmine rice
  • ¼ c soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 4 c bibb lettuce
  • ¼ c scallions
  • ¼ c cilantro
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • ¼ tbsp olive oil


  • Prep the ingredients and cook the rice by bringing the rice, a 2:1 ratio of water and a pinch of salt to a boil. Turn down to low and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Begin by sauteing the ground turkey with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and a drizzle of olive oil for 6 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks until it is browned. Set aside and keep warm.
  • Next add the mushrooms and garlic with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and a drizzle of olive oil and cook for 4 minutes, until the mushrooms are roasted.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha, adding a small amount of water if needed for desired consistency. Then pour over the roasted mushrooms, add the cooked turkey, stir to combine, and take off the heat.
  • When you’re ready to eat, assemble the wraps by layering in a scoop of rice in a lettuce wrap and layer on the turkey and mushroom filling.
  • Finish off with chopped scallions, fresh cilantro, and a sprinkle of crushed peanuts.
